"Point Palace" is in the news. Here is the story:

Beaver Students Pitch TV Pilot: A Review of Point Palace
By Erica Kibler

Friendship. Alcoholism. Betrayal. Heartbreak. Forbidden love. These are just a few things the characters of Matt Politylo’s Point Palace face.

The drama, starring Jake Reeb, Dani Rowley, Heather Papinchak, Jim Carnicella, Ryan Gaus, Kwadjo Osei, Amy Kaminski, Christian Desmerias, Lorena Chacon, Matt Bible, and Jacqui Freyer, is set in a private college. The characters deal with real issues facing college students– problems with drinking, backstabbing friends, and even cheating significant others.

The idea for the show came from Politylo’s online drama, which was based on the lives of his friends. Over 50 friends received an email with a new episode every Saturday. When auditions were held for the cast members for the taping of Point Palace, over 30 interested people showed up to audition for 10 available spots.

Beaver Productions, an independent film company, is in charge of producing the show. Tim Truman, who has worked for such shows as Charmed, Melrose Place, and Miami Vice, will produce the show’s theme song and perhaps even the rest of the show’s music. Politylo, Point Palace’s creator and writer, passed the directing job on to Alvin Ford and Abdul Al-Nakhli.

The pilot episode of Point Palace has already been filmed. There is also a website for Point Palace at pointpalace.tripod.com. For more information about the show, visit the website, or talk to Politylo.
